Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 September 2026 · Effective: 11 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and CONVOY for using the CONVOY app and website. They cover the most important things up front: ride safely, the app is an aid and not a substitute for your own attention, and CONVOY is not an emergency service. By using CONVOY, you agree to these terms.
Contents
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account or using CONVOY, you confirm that you can form a binding contract, that you will comply with these terms and our Privacy Policy, and that the information you give us is accurate. If you use the riding and navigation features, you confirm that you hold a valid licence for the vehicle you operate and are legally permitted to ride. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use CONVOY.
2. The service
CONVOY is a navigation and group-coordination tool for riders: a live crew map, route planning and turn-by-turn guidance, crew signals (regroup, slow down, SOS), crew voice calls, and alerts for fixed speed and red-light cameras. It is an aid to help a group ride together — it does not control your vehicle and does not replace your own judgement, attention, or the law.
3. Riding safety — please read
Your safety is your responsibility. Do not operate, type on, or stare at your device while riding. Set up your route before you move, mount your phone, and rely on spoken and glanceable cues. Always obey traffic laws, speed limits, and signals, and ride to the conditions.
- Navigation can be wrong. Maps, routes, distances, and estimated times may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Roads, closures, and conditions change. Never follow a direction that is unsafe or illegal — your eyes and judgement come first.
- Camera and hazard alerts are not guarantees. Camera warnings come from published, fixed-camera data that may be incomplete or out of date and do not include mobile or temporary enforcement. They are provided for awareness only. They are not a tool to evade enforcement or to exceed the speed limit; you must obey the posted limit at all times regardless of any alert.
- CONVOY is not an emergency service. The SOS and crew signals notify other members of your ride — nothing more. They do not contact police, ambulance, or any emergency responder. In a real emergency, call your local emergency number (in Singapore, 995 for ambulance/fire or 999 for police) directly.
- You ride at your own risk. Riding is inherently dangerous. You assume all risks of using CONVOY while riding and remain solely responsible for your own conduct, safety, and compliance with the law.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at admin@convoy.com.sg if you suspect unauthorised use. Provide accurate account information and keep it current. One person per account; do not share your account or impersonate anyone.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use CONVOY for any unlawful purpose, or to encourage unsafe or illegal riding.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other riders in chat or crew signals, or send unlawful, hateful, or infringing content.
- Interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other accounts.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or build a competing service from CONVOY, except where the law expressly permits it.
- Misuse camera or hazard alerts to break the law.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in CONVOY, such as your display name and ride chat messages. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service (for example, delivering your messages and live position to your crew). You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.
7. Availability and beta status
The first public release is free. Paid Pro subscriptions are deferred until after field validation. CONVOY is offered on an evolving, beta basis. We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, particular features, or any level of uptime. We may set reasonable usage limits to keep the service stable.
8. Intellectual property
CONVOY, including the app, the website, the brand, and the “three-chevron” mark, is owned by CONVOY and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use CONVOY under these terms. You may not use our name or branding without permission.
9. Third-party data and attribution
Business search also includes Overture Maps and its contributors. See our data sources, licences and attribution notices.
CONVOY uses open map and public data under their respective licences. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and © OpenMapTiles. Camera and related open data are sourced from data.gov.sg and comparable public sources under the Singapore Open Data Licence and applicable terms. These third-party data sets are provided by their owners and we make no warranty as to their accuracy.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CONVOY is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service, its navigation, or its alerts will be accurate, reliable, timely, or available.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CONVOY will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service — including any accident, injury, traffic penalty, property damage, lost data, or loss arising from reliance on navigation or camera alerts. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or SGD 100 if you paid nothing.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CONVOY and CONVOY from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any law or the rights of others.
13. Termination
You may stop using CONVOY and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity — survive termination.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction. We may update these terms from time to time; when we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use CONVOY after a change means you accept the updated terms.
